Two more blogs, from Mysore

In the last few days I got mail alerting me to two new blogs, one by a journalist, Mr Krishna Prasad, and the other, hosted by a b-school professor, Dr. G Raghavan. A professor of finance at the SDM Institute of management, Prof.Raghavan, has put together in his blog a set of power point presentations on the theme – ‘Foreign Exchange’ – for the benefit of his students. The idea is, I presume, to give interested surfers Dr Raghavan’s professorial take on the subject. It’s a one-stop source material on varied aspects of foreign exchange such as its convertibility, FDI, risk management, forward rate agreement etc. And we have the professor’s word that anyone who writes to him for material on a related topic could rely on him to come up with a relevant Power Point presentation within a week. The other mail I got was from Mr Krishna Prasad, about a blog that is as Mysorean as ‘Churmuri’. It’s ‘swalpa sihi, swalpa spicy’, the blog. It’s for the globalised Mysorean, says Mr Prasad, ‘Mysore’s most happening blog that gives a feel and flavour of India’s finest city’. Besides Mr Prasad’s prolific postings, the blog has a panel of bloggers, notably, Dr Bhamy Shenoy and Mr Sunaad Raghuram.

In one of his postings, Mr Prasad raises the question, ‘Will IT kill Mysore ?’ As he puts it, “ It’s a question no one wants to ask; a question few want to answer”. But then ask we must, he says, adding,  Bhamy V Shenoy does precisely that for ‘Churmuri’ (click on it to access the site}.

Dear Friends,

There is a new blog that has started called 'churmuri' exclusively on Mysore just like us. I wonder who they are and request them to join us. I am also scared as I see a certain comments, posting and opinions posted in the name of shankar prasad. I am not 'him'.

I request whoever knows the moderator of this blog 'churmuri' to change the identity of each of us and not let 'him' post in the name of shankar prasad. Since it is comments and opinions it would create unnecessary confusion in each other's friends and acquaintances.

shanks

Churmuri is the initiative of a journalist, Mr Krishna Prasad. Would draw his attention to your post, Mr Prasad (Shankar).
