Come July (Infosys 25th anniversary month), Mr N R Naryanamurthy plans to step down  to become non-executive chairman, functioning from an office where he can walk down from home, reports India Today (March 20, 2006).

Which office, Mr Murthy? Mysore, may we suggest? Wouldn’t it be nice, if Mysore’s most globally known son of the soil were to retire at the town, from where he had set out, as a college fresher, to take on the world? We are sure NRN would find in Mysore a companionable group with flair for Mozart, maths and crosswords. Infosys mentor, says India Today, reads books on maths, solves crosswords, and has a collection of the entire works of Mozart in 176 CDs.
