It is Infosys policy to provide mass transport system and it has held discussions with KSRTC and other agencies, said Infosys senior vice-president Mr Ramadas Kamath. (Presumably, he is talking about mass transport of the comany staff to Infosys campus.)

Speaking of the company plans at a public hearing (Feb.3), pertaining to the Infosys 61-acre extension project, Mr Kamath made following points:

1) Over 50,000 trees have been planted on Infosys 315-acre campus

2) Steps have been taken for ground water recharging, rain-water harvesting and recycling of waste water. Check dams have been constructed to facilitate recharge of ground water.

3) Only trainees will be housed at buildings (on additional 61-acre land under acquisition) and each batch would stay for 3 to 4 weeks.

4)Infosys campus drew water from a separate line, without cutting into water and power requirements of Mysore.
