Call 1090, for any help for any help elders face, particularly those who feel friendless and neglected by family. The helpline is there for those who might need counselling and medical care to cope with senile dementia, self-destructive behavour and suicidal tendencies.
Another problem many such elders might face is that they might need help in going to the helpline. It may not occur to the elders to call 1090, or they might have constraints in making contact with the Helpline. We wonder if the helpline promoters have thought of this.

Based at JSS Hospital, Ramanuja Road, Helpline 1090 is a joint endeavour by the JSS medical service trust, the department for welfare of the disable and the Mysore city police.
