Have you heard about WiFlynet? WIFIyNET brings you wireless internet connectivity to Mysore. Dedicated connectivity and transfer speeds upto 11Mbps covering the entire city.
The two cities are the only places in the world with total WiFi hotspot status. It is technologically feasible to make wireless Internet signals available throughtout the length and breath of the city. Mysore-based technology firm Excel Soft launched WifyNet service here in October last. But its use was confined mainly to laptop users. The company now plans to target home PC users and offices by raising 10 additional transmission towers and access points in the next four months. Installation charges and monthly tariff would be reduced to attract home users, according to Excel Soft M D , B S Sudhanva.The company now has transmission towers serving Yadavgiri, Kuvempunagar and Jayalakshmipuram areas.
